Week 2 of the new relationship--working out the glitches.

Well–we have been together for 2 weeks now. I can say it is 14 days of discovery and 7 days of real work. Not real work like you are thinking, because there are no emotions involved in this game. I just have to keep moving–always– being chased in circles from B-Bugg. It really does play with your head because even sitting here typing this out, marketing my book, researching recipes etc I am clouded with the guilt of my body being idle.

Yesterday at the market I decided to dance while shopping–not through the entire marketplace but a few Rockette kicks and jumps here and there to make sure the B-Bugg registers I am alive still. Times where I am sitting down doing something and a child asks me to do a task I would have previously stated ” I was just up/in there–you will have to wait for a minute.” I now find myself jumping up to do the remedial task, picturing my B-Bugg in his big burly meanness offering me a wink and a nod “That a girl, no need to be lazy–you have work to do!”

Someone asked me if the B-Bugg is worth the price–the asking price is almost $300 with the subscription for 6 mos use. I would have to say absolutely, if you are ready and certainly not if you are not ready. This is no different than a gym membership, supplement subscription or exercise equipment purchase. You can be ready and apply it as the right tool to get you exactly where you want to be fitness and health wise (sans genetics, so far no miracles from this B-Bugg on that front). However, you too have seen those hardly used pieces of gym equipment at the yard sales–bought with such an eager WANT in their hearts yet the lack of readiness to make it work. This will not do the work for you–in fact all this does is remind you there is work to be done. (Work, Work, Work) Yet, I have such a competitive edge with my own self that I want/need to over achieve– out do the damn B-Bugg at his own sick game–so even though I purchased this second hand I would say even the original asking price is worth it if you make it work for you. If you are looking for a quick fix, forget it!

This weekend I was alerted constantly that it was on my arm, no time to be lazy–grab some shrubs and move them–plant some trees, haul some dirt–WHY ARE YOU JUST SITTING THERE!?! During the week my house has been so clean that I am running out of things to clean–yeah in a house filled with kids I am running out of messy spots. I am going to tackle the kids closets now and perhaps the garage this week–I wonder how many calories I can burn screaming about the giant spiders I find. On second thought, I will be skipping the garage!

if I were to think of a possible upgrade for the B-Bugg–I think they should offer a taser form–a mild zap when you are inactive–THAT would be really the Pavlovian kick in the pants we would need to keep moving–fear motivates, pain sets the tone! Ok–I am kidding….kinda.

Oh and I am down 3lbs in this first real week of using the data and applying the work.
